CJ Haase Vet and Immuno Services, WI

Description of Elective Experience:

We have a comprehensive mixed animal practice that specializes in Dairy medicine and Infectious disease.  We commonly perform both routine and advanced small animal surgery in our clinic.   Be prepared as we also see at least a handful of internal medicine cases per day. An accurate description of our practice is to be prepared for anything.   Bull testing in the morning, equine exams intermittenly on days, and diagnosising a surgical abdomin in the afternoon with an accompanying corrective surgery.  We also have tons of routine wellness exams that will provide a great basis of normal.

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:

We have five well trained doctors on staff some with Phds.   Several well experienced CVTs are constantly availible throughout the day.   Our clinic is designed as a learning center.

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:

We want our students to be themselves.   It would be great for them to have a positive attitude and engage with our caseload.   Our clinic would like students to be engaged as much as they would like.  We do not have a minimum, however it is encouraged that they be avalible as calls come up during normal hours as well as afterhours in order to gain valuable clinical experience.

Student Housing (include costs, amenities, pet friendly, contact info if different from elective contact info):

Housing will be paid for by the clinic.  Amenities can be made based on need.
