Description of Elective Experience:
Duties related to traditional small/mixed practice: collaborating on exams, diagnoses, prescriptions, and surgeries.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
We are a multi-DVM practice working alongside licensed technicians, veterinary assistants, and a dedicated management staff. In our practice we utilize digital radiography, ultrasound, microscopy, in-house and reference lab diagnostics, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. We strive to provide quality medicine and customer service.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
Traditional business hours: 8-5 or 8-8 working closely with the doctors schedules. Student should actively participate and learn throughout the day, assisting the doctors and staff with appointments and duties. Student will be immersed in the practice and business.
