Cross Creek Veterinary Hospital, TX

Description of Elective Experience:

Veterinary Externship – Cross Creek Veterinary Hospital – Katy, TX

Cross Creek Veterinary Hospital is part of the Lakefield Veterinary Group—a family-owned company that offers support and resources to hospital teams while empowering them to make decisions about how they practice medicine and show up for their communities. We have a new modern facility built in May of 2015.

Cross Creek Veterinary Hospital offers an exciting and rewarding Externship for veterinary students in an AVMA accredited veterinary program who want to gain experience in a private practice setting.

Externs will be exposed to AAHA and Fear Free standards and will have the opportunity to work in a general practice setting assisting in surgery, emergency, and other challenging cases.

Students will be mentored by our medical director and will interact with all associates.

All expenses (travel, lodging, meals, associated travel expenses) are covered.

Our Culture:

At Cross Creek Veterinary Hospital, we believe the best way to provide compassionate, quality care to pets is by putting relationships—with our clients, patients, Team Members, and community—at the heart of everything we do.

Our commitment to pets extends beyond our hospital walls.

Our Team Members can give back to communities around the globe through our partnership with World Vets. Each year, we send a group of doctors and support staff abroad to help pets in need and support programs that nurture healthy relationships between people and animals.
