GENERAL SMALL ANIMAL MEDICINE AND SURGERY. SHELTER MEDICINE WITH RETIRED RACING GREYOUNDS AND OTHER SIGHTHOUNDS

TEAM OF 2 FULL TIME VETS PLUS 12 TECHS - 2 SURGICAL ROOMS - 2 DENTAL STATIONS. XRAY ROOM - 9 EXAM ROOMS -CREMATORY
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
40 HOURS PER WEEK - WEEKDAYS FROM 9 - 5 - SHADOWING REGULAR PATIENTS AND SUPPORT IN HOUSE ANIMALS. WILL BE EXPOSED TO GENERAL PRACTICE OF CLINICAL MEDICINE AND SURGERY - DISCUSSIONS OF THERAPEUTIC DECISION - DEVELOPMENT OF CLIENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS- PREVENTITIVE MEDICINE PROGRAMS. POPULATION OF 50 SHELTER DOGS- PRIMARILY SIGHT HOUNDS.

NO COST HOUSING- HOUSING IS LOCATED ON GROUNDS - PET FRIENDLY - COMPLETE WITH KITCHETTE - BATHROOM - BEDROOM - LAUNDRY AND SEPARATE ENTRANCE WITH PARKING.
