Description of Elective Experience:
During this externship period, the student will be exposed to advanced reproductive procedures in small ruminants to include laparoscopic AI, surgical embryo transfer, and semen collection.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
A DVM will preform the procedures with the assistance of technical staff and attending student. Mobile and in-clinic procedures will be done with laparoscopic equipment, electroejaculator, artificial vagina, sterile surgical packs.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
As the bulk of the services are mobile, the student will be expected to attend all scheduled procedures Monday-Friday 7am-4pm.

Housing will be provided for this particular externship. The externship is non-pet friendly as services are mobile across several regions.
