Description of Elective Experience:
Shadowing veterinarians , assisting and sometimes performing procedures for 3 to 4 veterinarians during typically work during weekdays and 1 to 2 DVM’s on weekends. Huge caseload allow the student to see and gain experience with a large number of cases everyday.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
5 licensed veterinarians and 7 licensed veterinary technicians paperless progressive full service veterinary practice in a rural community
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
Student is expected to come with a good attitude and ready to learn and contribute in a fast paced general mixed animal practice that is predominantly small animal with heavy caseload of urgent care and surgery

No cost for on site private room with private bathroom and staff shared kitchen and dinning room
