Large Support Staff, advanced dentistry equipment, including that for rabbit and guinea pig procedures; digital Xray; ultrasound; acupuncture, full pharmacy
We also work closely with radiologists, cardiologists, surgeons and internists who travel to the clinic to perform procedures like ultrasounds, echocardiograms, advanced surgeries and endoscopies.
We have hosted student externs before and are flexible about their commitment. To get the most out of the experience and to meet the guidelines that vet schools often have for the students, they typically work 4-5 days a week. They can shadow, but we also allow them to perform minor procedures like cat neuters, dentistry, and suturing. Externs also actively participate in doctor's rounds and discuss anesthetic protocols, diagnose and treat disease.
