To immerse the student in day to day application of the skill sets learned in school and how to apply them with the patient / client restictions usually not encounteed in tertiary practice / clinical environments.
The student will have the support of our veterinaian of 20+ years of clinical experience in addition to the experienced veterinary technicians. We have digital xray / dental machines, laser surgey and therapy available, tono-pen, and in house lab machines. Most everrything to aid a new professional in the development of their skills.
Student would be given supervised access to patients and cases to handle while on the intership. Student would be expected to complete the requied hours in a timely manner during normal opeational hours. Cases would be reviewed to evaluate students decision making process and instructed in ways to alter or expidite said cases outcome and treatment.
