Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:

Gallatin Animal Hospital is a fast paced small animal practice.  We have a dedicated reception and techniciain team that assists our 3 DVMs.  On site we have digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, abdominal ultrasound, echocardiogram, IDEXX in house lab work that includes a procyte, catalyst, and Sedivue.  We perform surgeries from a cat nueter up to some advanced orthopedic surgery.

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:

Students responsibilities would consist of a mix of shadowing and actual support.  Depending on the case and the DVMs comfort with the student they may be observing or actually assisting in the pets care.  We expect students to be punctual, hard working, and ready to jump in and learn as much as possible.   The days of the week are flexible depending on the students schedule.  We are open Monday through Saturday and can offer up to 40hrs per week.
