Description of Elective Experience:
Poultry medicine with a focus on broiler and turkey production. Remote experience with travel necessary to multiple states.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
A 4 veterinarian practice. 3 field veterinarians with one Diplomat of the American College of Poultry Veterinarians.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
Student will travel with the veterinarians to visit as many farms and species as possible within the limits of biosecurity. Hours are variable and unpredictable. Work is Monday through Friday with possible weekend travel as needed depending on the timing of site visits

Housing is not guaranteed but a best effort will made to help cover the cost of hotels and travel.
