Three doctor mixed animal practice in NW PA.. Student will participate in small animal surgery and small animal outpatient appointments. In addition, student will have the opportunity to provide primary management to "day patients", including examination, diagnostics, client communication, therapeutic treatments, and surgical intervention, with oversight by perceptor.
Three DVM's, each with their own area of interest. Informal teaching style emphasizing case management. Some opportunity for
student to perform surgery on their own with supervision of humane society animals, and staff owned animals.
- Actively participate in daily cases.
- Provide case management with preceptor oversight for "day patients'
- Particpate in emergency calls on an as available basis Mon-Thur, until 9:00 PM.
- For students electing to live at the hospital, checking on patients late night as needed.
- Minimum 40 hour week. No scheduled weekend duties.
- Present a "lunch and learn" to staff on topic of your choice
On site housing available. Bedroom/bathroom upstairs in clinic. Share kitchen facilities with staff. Well behaved pets allowed with prior permission.
