Description of Elective Experience:
Experience in a 2-doctor, small animal hospital with exposure to preventative care, small animal disease and both routine/non-routine surgeries.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
2 doctors, 1 licensed technician, 1 technician in training (mid-education), 4 assistants. X-ray, dental surgical equipment, ultrasound, microscope, laser surgical unit
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
Mon-Fri, open to exact hours scheduled, flexible with amount of hours per week but approximately 30-35. Majority of the time would be spent shadowing/participating in case management.
