Holmdel Veterinary Clinic's externship program is both observational and hands-on. Students will actively participate in all clinic appointments, case management, outpatient treatment, hospital treatments, diagnostics, client communications, and will be standing in for observation during surgery.
Holmdel Veterinary Clinic is a single doctor practice with the team of five support staff. Students will be able to utilize our digital x-ray, in house laboratory equipment, referral laboratory and fully stocked pharmacy. Holmdel veterinary clinic keeps paperless medical records and laptops are available for staff use.
Students are expected to be present in the clinic for a minimum of 30 hours a week. All students will be under the direct supervision of the doctor and are expected to both shadow and participate in all aspects of case management.
