Description of Elective Experience:
- Collaboration in the development of webinars agendas and search for experts in ASF prevention and response presentations.
- Support in the administration of the African Swine Fever platform and other transboundary diseases.
- Collaboration in the planning, development and implementation of capacity building and training in surveillance for the prevention of ASF in the Caribbean and Central America region with a onehealth approach.
- Development of technical documentation (infographics, technical documents, reports, etc) to support the African Swine Fever project.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
The internship is paid by Ohio State University, but IICA will provide the student with a suitable place to work.
Student Housing (include costs, amenities, pet friendly, contact info if different from elective contact info):
IICA does not provide housing for students, however IICA provides recommendations for possible safe housing options for interns.
