Description of Elective Experience:
Student will assit doctor with patient appointments, elective and non elective surgeries, perform routine dentals, blood collection, IV catheter placement, radiographs, etc.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
Hospital is equipped with ultrasound, digital x-ray, endoscope, and therapy laser. 3 full time Veterinarians with experiece ranging from 5 to 20 plus years. Support staff consists of 5 receptionists, 7 assistants and 5 RVT's.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
Student will be working full time hours and providing actual support to the staff.
