Description of Elective Experience:
Students will shadow our doctors through medical and surgical cases. Our goal is to help them apply the knowledge they acquired in the classroom to real-life clinical situations.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
Four full-time veterinarians, five registered veterinary technicians, Digital radiology, fully equipped dental suite, two ultrasound machines, full in house labratory.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
Show up on time and engage in medical and surgical cases. We love questions. We request that the student work 4-10's shifts with our mentor doctors (8am to 6pm).
