Description of Elective Experience:
Observe and assist with canine and feline surgery and medicine cases. We also do Show Pig medicine and surgery. Majorty of time will be spent with swine surgery and medicine cases.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
One full time veterinarian and 6 support staff. Extensive Show Pig clientel in Iniana, Ohio and Illinois. Modern practice. In house lab work. Digital Radiography. K Laser therapy
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
Assist with small animal and show pig appointments both in the clinic and on the farm. 40-60 hours per week
