Description of Elective Experience:
Fast-paced exposure to urgent care, critical care, soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, wellness and some behavior cases. Mainly focusing on feline and canine companion animals.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
CT, Ultrasound, Digital radiology, Digital Dental radiology, in-house cbc, chem, pt/ptt, ua, microscope, soft tissue and orthopedic suites, snyder cage, full spectrum of monitoring equipment, credentialed and un-credentialed support team, dvms
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
Select and commit to hours (available 7 days per week, 10a to 10p).
Student Housing (include costs, amenities, pet friendly, contact info if different from elective contact info):
Availability within Mayfair Animal Hospital (basement room with attached shower/bathroom). Kitchenette adjacent.
