Description of Elective Experience:
small animal practice in a rural setting consisting of cat, dogs, small furries. Spay and neuter, general surgery, small animal dentistry, ultrasound, digital xrays, inhouse labratory.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
x-ray, ultrasound, laboratory, surgery suite, high speed dental unit and dental x-ray.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
We would like the student to be present during the hours our branch partner is working, approximately 9-7 M-F. The student will shadow cases and be involved in exam, diagnostics, and treatment of the patients. We would love to have the student as involved as possible in each case under the direct supervision of the branch partner and permanent vet
