Description of Elective Experience:
Retrieving histories, performing physical exams, diagnostics and forming treatment plans for various diagnoses. Forming vaccination and surgical protocols and protocols for annual examinations. Performing core technical skills and procedures.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
Fully staffed technicians with 2 veterinarians, full surgical suite, digital radiographs, abaxis HM2 and vetscan, bionote machine, fully stocked snap tests, microscope, fecal station
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
8 hour days, 5 days a week ( mon-fri); obtaining history and performing exams and presenting case with differentials and diagnostics to mentors and discussing cases
