Description of Elective Experience: 

Our practice is a rural Montana, mixed animal practice that is located in the heart of ranching country.  We do some small animal work, but the majority of our work focuses around cattle and horses.  Student will be here close to the peak of pregnancy testing cattle.  There will also be equine work, and a small amount of small animal work.  

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.: 

2 FTE Veterinarians, 4 support staff, 2 DR xrays, in-house blood machines, portable silencer chutes, multiple ultrasounds, gas anesthesia, portable equine stocks, top of the line equine dental equipment, and much more.

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?: 

40-50 hrs/week M-F, shadowing and getting hands on experience with whatever they are comfortable with

Student Housing (include costs, amenities, pet friendly, contact info if different from elective contact info): 

Furnished trailer house - No smoking, no pets.  No cost to the student
