Description of Elective Experience: 

The extern will participate in our necropsy and surgical biopsy service as well as pathology resident rounds. 

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.: 

NC State has eight boarded anatomic pathologists who routinely do biopsy and necropsy service. 

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?: 

The student will be expected to work from approximately 8 a to 5 pm Monday through Friday. They will participate in necropsy, trimming, and biopsy report write-up.
