Externs will have a rounded general practice experience. There will be opportunities to work with 11 doctors within a range of experiences: surgery, appointments, and urgent care.
NMAH has a staff of 40+. We have 12 exam rooms for 11 doctors with a pharmacy staffed by an RVT. We have a full boarding facility, multiple diagnostic tools (including US/digital x-ray), IDEXX lab equipment, and 3 surgery suites and a 3 table dental suite. We do laparoscopic, orthopedic, dental, and soft tissue surgeries. We have the ability to do chemo therapy and laser therapy. We have urgent care hours every day. We are a full service hospital.
During the externs time at NMAH, he/she will go in exam rooms with a doctor, assist in surgery, and be a part of urgent care.
