Description of Elective Experience:
Candidate will be under direct supervision and mentorship of five veterinarians. Assisting in all aspects a practicing veterinarian performs. Hands-on experience with canines, felines and multiple species of exotic patients.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
Five doctor practice with 20 support staff including 5. RVTs. Advanced surgery including orthopedics, ultrasound, radiology, in-house laboratory, dentistry.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
Based on daily needs and wants by candidate the responsibilities will like include a combination of shadowing and support if needed and desired by the candidate. Hours of commitment will range from 25-40 hours based on the students desires and caseload fulfilling on a Monday- Saturday schedule.
