Description of Elective Experience: 

General practice and board certified internist hospital. OVH offers everything a busy general practice will offer but the hospitalization, soft tissue surgeries and referrals for internal medicine procedures are what make the clinic unique. 

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.: 

Access to 4 doctors and veterinary library. 
DR radiology, ultrasound, echocardiogram, in-house labs (CBC, Chemistry, PT/PTT, UA, etc). 4 CVTs. 

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?: 

4-5 days a week. Shifts are adjusted based on hospitalized patients. 

Shadowing opportunities and case responsibility for general practice and internal medicine. Shadow (and direct involvement) with exams, scrub in for surgery, ultrasound training, basic endoscopy training, radiology training and in house cytology.

Fully furnished, newly renovated apartment above the clinic is available to stay at no cost. Pet friendly!
