The student will be paired with a licensed veterinarian, to shadow and collaborate with on various cases presented to our facility. The student will perform/assist in the completion of physical examinations, creating a plan to determine a specific diagnosis, be part of treatment option discussions, help doctor with notes (practice/observe how to write a medical record) and other patient related tasks.
Multiple DVMs with various experience onsite to help collaborate on cases and answer questions related to patient care

Equipment includes: Digital radiography, ultrasound, dental cleaning equipment/ dental radiographs, surgical prep and procedures (anesthesia machine, monitoring equipment such as a cardell), microscope, in-house lab equipment (Chem/CBC/i-stat/Imagyst), PE tools
Tentative student schedule is 40 hours per week, which consists of 4-10 hour shifts (4 days per week at 10 hours per day)
Typically, the workdays will be Sunday-Wednesday with our main DVM and Chief Operations Officer which will consist of a mixture of shadowing and providing actual support. This level of interaction will vary based on the case, the client/owner, and at the discretion of the doctor overseeing the case.
