We are a 20,000 square foot, general, exotics, surgical and emergency hospital with a high case load. The past year we had a total of over 58,000 patient visits. We have a staff of 28 veterinarians and 2 interns. Our externship provides the opportunity to experience all aspects of the hospital, always under the direct supervision of a veterinarian.
We currently have 28 veterinarians, 2 interns and a support staff of approx 120. We have a fully equipped surgical suite including laporoscopic and orthopedic capability, ultrasound, radiology and a fully equpped icu including oxygen support. In addition we have our own laboratory grade blood analyzer equipment.
Students are expected to work a 40 hour week to include days, nights, and weekends. Students will shadow and participate in case workups and rounds.
