People, Pets and Vets offers elective internship and externship experiences at our 30+ veterinary hospitals. If you are looking for an opportunity to experience the Pacific Northwest, we offer free lodging for any externs traveling to our Olympia, WA based hospitals. We want Externs to have an excellent experience in clinic and experience the community they are working in.
We offer tenured veterinary professional staff, state of the art medical equipment for traditional and modern procedures. Many of our hospitals offer niche services in a GP setting, for example, Josey Ranch Pet Hospital in Carrollton, TX offers extensive canine production services including having the only boarded Repro Specialist for all of Texas! Contact any of our hospitals about an experience you want and we'll happily share information about where you can learn more and find the clinics that best suit you!
We generally like to have students work in hands on capacities Monday-Friday during standard business hours. We like to have students participate in ways they are comfortable and we have the support right there for the experiences that will need a little extra guidance for comfort!
Student housing is available for any location based in Olympia or Tacoma Washington. We offer pet friendly lodging that is free to students during their externships or interviews with a People, Pets and Vets hospital.
