Description of Elective Experience: 

Immersion in clinical and surgical dermatology in small animals.

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.: 

Dr James is a board-certified Veterinary Dermatologist. Shadowing the doctor in rooms and observing in surgery will be mandatory. The office is equipped for the doctor to perform skin biopsies, CO2 laser surgery, Anesthetic Video-otoscopopy, and Intradermal allergy testing.

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?: 

Shadow the doctor and discuss treatment plans for each type of case for the student to learn. We are open 5 days a week for appointments. There are text books and resources that the student can use while in the office.
