Student would be part of a busy small animal practice working closely with veterinarians, techs/staff and clients. Students would be involved to the limit of their capabilities with the objective to teach them what we can during their stay. We have two locations, Monroeville and Greensburg Pa. A student would have option of full time in Monroeville or adding 1-2 days week at the Greensburg office.
We have three veterinarians with decades of experience thru small animal internships, emergency medicine and basic small animal practice. Our techs are highly motivated and skilled. We have 15 total staff and very little turnover. We have all the modern equipment necessary.
Students will work 5-6 days/week and at least 40 hours. They will be involved in client communication, patient care including procedures and diagnostics. They will assist in surgery and learn anesthesia. The student will have a solid experience in a busy small animal practice.
If a student was interested in externing with us we would try and find a housing situation for them.
