Description of Elective Experience:
Student will be matched with a board certified veterinarian in their areas of interest and travel with them througout the day. Our hospital is set up so that it is very easy to follow the most interesting cases.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
Multi-discipline specialty and emergency hospital. Specialties include internal medicine, oncology, surgery, ophthalmology, dermatology, critical care, cardiology, acupuncture & integrative medicine. On site CT scanner, ultrasound, endoscopy, video otoscope, laser & cryo, shock wave.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Student will work closly with their veteriarian and be completely involved in each case during the day.
