The student will gain experience in the daily workings of an ambulatory equine practice with a focus on preventive care and maintenance. By observing and participating in all aspects of the practice, the student will obtain a better feel for how a primary care facility operates, from field procedures to billing and account management.
The practice employs one technician and off-site office management and accounting assistance. We are equipped with Powerfloat dentistry tools to accommodate the large number of dental procedures we perform. We have a DR system for taking excellent quality radiographs in the field.
The student will be expected to be available from Monday - Friday from 9-6 for routine calls, and to be available on evenings and weekends for emergency calls if needed.
No charge to student. No pets allowed (pets already here!)
