Externs will be able to work closely with veterinary specialists and emergency doctors while here. We currently have 2 surgeons, 2 internal medicine specialists, a cardiologist and 5 full time emergency veterinarians. We are a 24 hour facility.
Dr. Jason Eisele is a board certified surgeon, he completes the majority of orthopedic surgeries. Dr. Eisele is also the practice owner.
Dr. Ryan Cavanaugh is a board certified surgeon, he specializes in surgical oncology.
Dr. Jennifer Messinger and Dr. Melissa Tollett are both board certified Internal medicine specialists.
Dr. Sara Scruggs is our board certified cardiologist.
We have a total hospital staff of around 80 - 90 employees. Our support staff is highly skilled and many are certified technicians.
We are currently under construction to add some much needed space. The new edition will add 3 brand new surgery suites and on site MRI and CT. Currently we travel to an off-site location for advanced imaging. We have fluroscopy on site.
Students are expected to spend at least 40 hours per week at our facility. The days and times are dependent on which service the student is following. The student will be actual support.
