Description of Elective Experience:
We are a rural mixed animal 3 DVM practice serving mostly cow-calf producers and our local horse and pet owners
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
3 full time DVMs with 2 day/week relief vet, 2 LVTs and 4 non credentialed support staff plus reception
Digital radiography, mobile ultrasound, endoscopy, large and small animal isoflurane vaporizers, tonopen, EKG, etc
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
We work M-F 8-5:30, though sometimes the days run longer. Students are encouraged to participate in after hours calls at nights and weekends. Student level of participation is dependent on year in schooling and clinician comfort level
Student Housing (include costs, amenities, pet friendly, contact info if different from elective contact info):
No cost private bed/bath with semi-private kitchen facility on clinic property. Not pet friendly.
