Description of Elective Experience:
Opportunity for students to expand on their bovine reproductive knowledge (Reproductive physiology, improve palpation and ultrasound skills, and investigate/problem solve problem donors).
Additional herd health opportunities are available at associated recipient farm (cow-calf production medicine).
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
2 Veterinarian practice with office manager.
Ibex Evo ultrasound, multiple microscopes, IVF/OPU equipment, Hydraulic chute.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
- Students are responsible for being present Monday through Friday. Due to the seasonality of the work, hours vary. Slower times can consist of 20-30 hours per week with busy season ranging from 50-60 hours per week.
- Student experience level will determine shadowing vs actual support. All students will have the opportunity to palpate, and ultrasound cattle. More experienced students will be able to be more involved with artificial insemination, embryo production and cryopreservation.

No cost associated with housing. 3 bedroom, 2 bath home - heat, AC, water. No Wifi, pet friendly (depends on the pet)
