In the beginning of the externship the student will be largely responsible for shadowing and learning how the practice functions. As the 2 week program progresses the student will (if ability permits) begin to ‘lead’ appointments and take the lead in communicating with clients.

Student will be there for 10 hours per day (varied based on day) for 4.5 days per week for a total of 40-45 hours a week.

Friday 8-6

Saturday (one of two) - 9-4

As notes before student will start by watching, learning, and contributing to appointments and treatment plans. This will progress to seeing the students running and leading appointments and communications with clients. Student will never be left alone, and treatment protocols will be checked at every step. Clients will be asked for prior confirmation that they are okay with a student communicating.
