We are a 8 doctor small animal practice in West Carrollton, Ohio, A one hour drive from Columbus. We are an AAHA accredited practice and are a state of the art facility. We have a great team of doctors, registered veterinary technicians, and client services staff. All are prepared to offer great mentorship to the veterinary student. Twin Maples offers wellness visits, ill patient visits, dentistry, ultrasound, and soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. Our doctors have a wide range of experience and interests.
At Twin Maples you will have the opportunity to see a variety of cases, both routine and challenging as well as the opportunity to observe the day to day scheduling and management of a large group practice.
Students will have the opportunity to shadow veterinarians, learn about practice managment, assist in wellness and ill patient visits, and assist in surgery.
Twin Maples will assist finding and covering the cost of housing if needed during student externships.
As previously noted, we have a talented staff of doctors and support personnel.
Twin Maples has modern equipment including DR, ultrasound, endoscopy, dental suite, ASIF bone plating equipment.
Students will be expected to work a 30-40 hour week, similar to an associate veterinarian. We are a 7 day a week practice, so weekend hours are available if this works for the student's schedule.
Students will be able to participate in outpatient examination, observe dentistry in clinical practice and assist in treatments and surgery.
