Description of Elective Experience: 

Provide clinical care for Dairy cattle, poultry, and swine.

Review study protocols and assist investigators

Daily clinical rounds and communicate with the attending veterinarian

Help with Dairy herd management and preventive medicine

Necropsies etc

AALAS Learning library

Attending Veterinarian

Veterinary Technicians

Vehicles and Vet hospital with Medications etc

Mid Maryland Veterinarians as consultants for dairy animals

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?: 

5 days week-7 am to 3.30pm

student will conduct daily rounds along with Veterinary Technicians

Reports findings to Attending Veterinarian
