Description of Elective Experience:
14 doctor, 1 CVT, 4 office personnel dairy practice serving 325 dairy farms ranging in size from 30 to 6500 cows in a 75 mile radius from Seymour, Wisconsin.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
14 doctors, 1 CVT, 4 office personnel in a 2500 sq ft clinic building. 14 trucks with bowie inserts, ultrasounds, laptops, and cellphones. Enclosed trailer for flushing/IVF. Milk system analysis equipment. DC305 software.
Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:
Extern will ride/shadow/work with an assigned doctor all day. Be on call @ night for any after hours emergencies. 24 hrs/day, 7 days/week.

Seymour Hotel (920-833-6441) hosts the VVC Extern room (101). VVC covers the cost of the room. Not pet friendly (we're a dairy practice).
