Description of Elective Experience:
Students are expected to attend hospital rounds every morning. We have topic rounds and journal club scheduled through out the week in addition to rounds. Students are expected to shadow for appointments and procedures, participate in patient discussions. Primary case responsibility and client communication will not be a student responsibility.
Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.:
We have multiple specialty services offered Monday-Friday with 24 hour ER services. Specialties include internal medicine, ER/critical care, neurology, surgery, dermatology, medical and radiation oncology, ophthalmology, general practice. We have a radiology service but do not offer externship time on that service.
