Multiple RVT's, full assistant team, surgical and separate dental suite, ultrasound and CO2 surgical laser
Shadowing DVM for the first day and then on day 2 will perform a history and physical exam with technician prior to DVM several times throughout the day, but not on all patients. Assisting with holding pets for blood draw or physical exams, performing phlebotomy, anal sac expression, positioning for radiographs (we practice hands free whenever possible, but if no dosimetry badge student will not be in the room during rads), giving differentials for sick patients and getting familiar with common medications, doses, frequency, but will not be expected to have working knowledge just yet.
