We are a fast paced 6 doctor practice that does not only wellness appointments but also a wide range of surgeries including orthopedics. Our hospital also has a large boarding facility and grooming department. Daily pets from both of these departments make their way to the vet department for treatments while in the building with us for the day.
We are a large volume small animal practice with mutliple doctors. We have a large surgery volume including: Trauma, oncological surgery, soft tissue, and orthopedic surgery. In addition, we receive multiple referral surgeries from all over the state of Ohio.
Sawmill has Physcial Rehabilitation Center-underwater treadmill, goniometry, low level laser.

Students coming in to our hospital would mostly follow our medical director, Dr. Tod Beckett, he works at both our hospital and at VCA Sawmill Animal Hospital, therefore a candidate would travel to both practices with him. Dr. Beckett spends about 25 hours per week at each clinic seeing appointments and performing surgeries. During a students time with us their schedule would look like the following:
Monday- At VCA Sawmill in the morning doing surgery, VCA Mill Run in the evening for appointments
Tuesday- At VCA Mill Run seeing appointments and then surgery.
Wednesday- At VCA Sawmill most of the day.
Thursday- At VCA Mill Run most of day. Surgery in the am, appointments in the pm.
Friday- At VCA Mill Run in the am and VCA Sawmill in the evening.
Saturday- Would be at one of the practices any given weekend.
