Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?:

Students rotate thru with each of our 6 Large Animal doctors on a daily basis.  Our days begin around 7:00 am but occasionally we start herd health visits at 5:00 am and ask the externs to join us at these early morning herd health visits.  Once calls are completed by the attending Doctor with the student extern we will encourage the extern to opt in on companion animal care visits, assist with companion animal surgery, or assist on other food animal calls with a different doctor for the rest of the day.  We expect student externs to be available for evening emergency calls as they desire along with weekend emergency duties as desired by the extern.

Student Housing (include costs, amenities, pet friendly, contact info if different from elective contact info):

In clinic apartment available with microwave and refrigerator available.  this is provided at no cost to the extern.  Can bring pets if necessary but not encouraged.
