Student will be paired up with a doctor at all times. Pending their request for specific interests, I will make a schedule for them based on their preferences. We will allow students to do as much hands on as they are comfortable with. We will work on restraint, IV catheter placement, blood draws, and radiograph positioning. NG tube placement may be an option pending case load. Students will go into the rooms with the doctor to witness client communication. We do take in some stray animals (so if they are injured, students can perform the surgeries/treatments needed). We will work on suturing as well. We ask that the student has PLIT insurance.
