Students will have opportunity to practice and gain constructive feedback working alongside our medical teams. Immerse themselves in daily operations, such as medical rounds, client communication, diagnostics, and patient planning.
VREC of Westbury has licensed vet techs and veterinary assistants to provide support for Veterinarians. Morning doctor rounds occur every morning where each case is discussed in depth. Journal club is once a month as well other educational topics are taught one per month by staff doctors.
Equipment - 2 Ultrasound machines, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Chamber, MRI, CT, Fluoroscopy, minimally invasive equipmemt. Multiple inhouse laboratory options. Digital radiography.
Students shadow the specialists' schedule. 40 hours per week. Days of the week depend on which doctor student is shadowing.
