Veterinary Specialty Care is a 24-hour emergency and specialty facilty that includes the following specialties: Surgery, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Oncoloby, Dentistry, Cardiology. Our facility offers veterinary students as opportunity to shadow and observe the specialty of their interest as well as, with proper proof of insurance, help with cases under the direction of the doctor.
Veterinary Specialty Care has 2 locations. At our main location, we have 7 emergency doctors, 3 board certified surgeons, 1 board certified neurologist, 4 board certified internists, 1 board certified cardiologist and 1 board certified dentist. We have a full in-house lab, digital radiology, several ultrasound machines, CT scanner, MRI, Hyperbaric Chamber, all housed in a state of the art practice.
We expect the student to have a clear understanding of the expectations provided to them by their university for extern programs. We will provide the student with a specific schedule as well as the flexibility to shadow any or all specialties we offer. Our team is happy to answer any questions the student may have during their time with us, and offer them insight into the workings of a specialty practice.
40 hours per week,; Monday-Friday for Surgery or Internal Medicine; Will include weekends if for ER
