We are a 7 doctor, mixed animal clinic in Southwest Oklahoma that offers emergency surgeries for our clients. We have doctors that range from new graduates to doctors with 40 years of experience. We are approximately 50/50 on small and large animal. On the large animal side, we offer farm calls as well as in clinic services. During the fall months, we will be busy pregnancy checking. During the spring months, we see a large amount of dystocias. We offer many services. Feet work, BSEs, AI, trich tests and routine cattle work are all part of a typical day. We also see a fair amount of equine where we do everything from lameness exams to reproductive work. On the small animal side, we perform a variety of surgeries including luxated patella and ACL repairs. Besides dogs and cats, we occasionally get to see some exotics.

Small animal medicine and surgery in a small town in southern Ohio where many clients have financial concerns. We try to schedule trap/ neuter /release cats for students so that students can scrub in for cat spays and neuters.
We are currently offering an externship for veterinary students to come to the Western Slope of Colorado to enjoy all that it has to offer. We do mixed animal practice, mostly small animals and horses. Limited sheep, goats and cattle. We will allow externs to get as much hands on experience as possible but will be dictated by how busy we are that day. The Western Slope of Colorado offers lots of outdoor activities including skiing and hunting.
Cottonwood Creek Veterinary Hospital is looking for a mixed animal veterinarian externs and small animal veterinarian externs for a multi-doctor, 2-practice company, with offices in and near Waco, TX. To provide comprehensive care for our patients & clients 24 hours a day, on call services are required, however it is shared with 7 other veterinarians. We offer digital, dental, and portable radiology, ultrasonography, and in house laboratory capabilities. Our services include preventative medicine, internal medicine, general and orthopedic surgery, equine lameness, equine reproduction, herd health, bovine reproduction (including embryo transfer) and more. We maintain a high tech to doctor ratio, and have many LVTs on staff. We are a busy, fast pace practice, so a good work ethic is a must, but we do strive to maintain a good work-life balance.
We aim to provide a comprehensive hands-on experience during the time with our facility. Housing is provided for fourth year students. A wide variety of areas of medicine and services are covered during externships. Surgical cases usually available for externs through our shelter partners. Externs are anticipated to be very hands on to pursue a good understanding of the medicine being shown for themselves and to provide an exciting and diverse experience while with our clinics. Students will be involved in all aspects of our very busy mixed animal private veterinary practice. We have a tremendous case load in both pet animal medicine, surgery and preventative health care. We will pattern the student experience to fit the interests of the student. Our practice also sees emergency cases for our surrounding counties. Our small animal surgery cases include orthopedics, canine reproductive surgical services and a range of abdominal surgical procedures (splenectomy, explores, ANA, etc.) Our large animal service involves bovine, equine, ovine, caprine and porcine preventative health care and reproductive services. The student will have the opportunity to work with all of our doctors or choose to primarily work with the doctors that are in the student's primary area of interest. We have been a clinical rotation site for LMU and host student preceptors often from several veterinary colleges.
Dr. Boerner has owned a mobile General Equine practice since 1989. She sees a wide variety of breeds. Appointments include yearly exams, Castration’s, basic lameness and pre-purchase exams, reproductive work ups/ pregnancy checks, foal exams, some basic teeth floating, etc. Some small ruminant work is also included. Dr Boerner takes care of a lot of emergencies consisting of colics, wounds, eye problems, sick foals, and recumbent animals.

Our 3+ doctor practice in rural Tuscarawas County is a busy companion animal practice. We serve a diverse client base. Veterinary externs will spend time performing physical exams, ordering/interpreting diagnostics, assisting in soft tissue surgery, oral surgery, charting medical records, developing treatment plans and discussing plans with owners.
