Students rotate with both the general pracitioners as well as the specialists to see various aspects of veterinary medicine
At Pet Care Veterinary Hospital we are interested in hosting keen veterinary students. We are a 7-doctor practice, which sees 85% small animal, 11% exotic, and 4% avian patients. Dr. Fisher is a Dipl.ABVP and Dr. Phillips is a Dipl.ACZM, so we see a wide variety of patients. The clinic offers a wide range of services, including orthopedics, dentistry, internal medicine, and behavioral counseling. Students will be expected to work a minimum of 40 hours a week; we are open Monday through Saturday. On Saturdays we host puppy parties for clients, and students may attend if they wish. We have an in-hospital apartment, and can provide accommodation for students. The maximum amount of time we can offer will depend on time of year and number of applicants (ie Christmas 2-4 weeks, summer may be longer). More information can be found on our website, http://www.petcarevb.com/.
Please contact the practice directly via petcare@petcarevb.com and title the email “Internship Inquiry: Re: Drs. Urban and Wallace”. You should receive an email with attached questionnaire in response. We will try to answer within one week of receiving your inquiry.
