Darke County Veterianary Service is a primarly Equine and Small Animal practice started by Chris W. Gilbert DVM in 1982.  We typically begin the day with small animal surgery (spay, neuter, tumor removal, dental cleanings, ACL repairs, ect) then do equine calls or appointments throughout the morning and early afternoon.  We then have small animal appointment hours in the afternoon.  Many of our equine patients are standardbred race horses therefore we preform a lot of joint injections.  We use digital xray, video scope, ultrasound, shockwave therapy, klaser therapy, and in house blood machines for both our equine and small animal patients.
