Veterinaria 24/7 is the largest small animal hospital in Puerto Rico. We run 24 hours, seven days a week, specializing on emergencies. This is a nine doctor practice, including a veterinary oncologist. We see everything, from wellness and preventative care visits, to emergency surgery and procedures.

A little about AmeriVet, we are a Veterinary Corporate Company with 211 practice in 37 states and growing! We support students by hosting them in our practices and providing externships, future employment, and loan repayment opportunities! During the externship, the goal is to provide mentorship and a positive environment in which students are shadowing the DR's to gain experience and have the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge of veterinary medicine.

In addition to the unique clinical experience and breathtaking surroundings, a placement at our clinic in the Turks and Caicos Islands offers an excellent opportunity for students to gain valuable knowledge and skills in dealing with infectious diseases endemic to the local canine population. As a tropical region, the islands are home to various infectious diseases that pose specific challenges to veterinary medicine. By working with our experienced team, students will have the chance to observe and participate in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of these diseases, expanding their understanding of their epidemiology and management. This hands-on experience will undoubtedly enhance their abilities to tackle similar challenges in their future careers, making them well-rounded and resilient veterinarians.

Fairfax Veterinary Clinic is a multi-doctor, full-service small animal hospital in a thriving hub of compassionate animal care.With our diverse patient population including dogs, cats, pocket pets, exotics and backyard poultry, you'll gain invaluable exposure to a wide range of cases.
At FVC, we prioritize mentorship and believe in sharing knowledge to foster growth. Our team consists of experienced doctors who are eager to guide and inspire the next generation of veterinarians. You'll have the opportunity to learn from their vast experiences and glean invaluable insights that will shape your career.
As an extern, you'll be exposed to a mix of routine cases, advanced disease management, as well as urgent care/emergencies. Our clinic operates in a progressive area and we work with a vast network of nearby specialists, which allows us to work up cases extensively.Our externs will have the opportunity to witness the collaborative efforts between our clinic and these specialists, gaining exposure to the latest advancements in veterinary medicine.

Students are allowed to see all work alongside our vets in our 4 vet clinic that is walk in. We see all types of animals and do emergencies services. Students are allowed to help with wellness, sick examinations, emergencies, and surgeries. Located 20 minutes outside of Augusta, Georgia and within 1.5 hour drive to referral center, we see everything from wellness visit, traumas, sick patients, and a moderate portion of large animal (both in clinic and on farm).
During this externship period, the student will be exposed to advanced reproductive procedures in small ruminants to include laparoscopic AI, surgical embryo transfer, and semen collection.
Cuddy Farms is a turkey operation that employs their own veterinarian and operates their own internal lab for testing. Cuddy Farms operates approximately 40 farms including stud, grow and breeder farms. We also have a hatchery at our location in Strathroy. The student will be able to gain experience in each aspect of the turkey and veterinary operations.
The student will be shadowing a poultry veterinarian overseeing turkey breeder operations in Ontario, Canada. The student will be exposed to farms containing various generations of turkey breeders (pedigree, great-grandparent, grandparent), as well as a turkey hatchery. The student will work with various departments within the organization such as operations, R&D, and veterinary services.
